The idea

Smile is a minimalist launcher for iOS. It strips the home screen back to clean typography and the handful of apps you actually use, and it removes the noise that pulls you in without you deciding to be pulled. No clutter, no badges screaming for a tap, just a calm surface you open on purpose.

It began as a personal experiment. I wanted my own phone to feel quieter, so I built the launcher I wished existed. Enough people felt the same way that it earned a place on the App Store, for free.

What it feels like

The whole point is that there is not much to say. You open it, your apps are there, laid out simply, and you get on with your day. That restraint is the feature.
